Pakistan’s First Multi-Mission Satellite Becomes Operational with SIFC’s Support

Marking a significant development in the country’s space and digital transformation, Pakistan’s first multi-mission satellite, PAKSAT-MM1, has become operational after successful testing.

The satellite will provide communication services such as broadband internet, TV broadcasting, Mobile bank hauling, and VSAT connectivity. This will significantly enhance communication infrastructure, especially in previously unconnected regions, contributing to the country’s socio-economic upliftment.

This achievement is attributed to SIFC’s consistent support in developing the telecom sector. The SIFC has facilitated the creation of Pakistan’s first-ever National Space Policy, paving the way for further research and development in modern technologies.
