Don Strehle

Experience
Don Strehle is the retired Managing Director of the Washington, D.C.
office of Sterling Capital Management. Sterling Capital is an SEC registered investment
advisory company with over 60 billion dollars in assets under management. The company is a
wholly owned subsidiary of Branch Banking and Trust (BB&T). In his previous position with
BB&T, he served as Regional President for the Northern Virginia area for over 8 years. He was
administratively responsible for the management of 600 employees, 80 financial centers, $6
billion in deposits and 140,000 client households. Prior to BB&T, Mr. Strehle was Executive
Vice President for F&M Bank – Northern Virginia. He initially began his banking career in
1979 with Continental Federal Savings Bank where he rose to Senior Vice President in charge of
commercial lending.

Mr. Strehle graduated from Radford University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in
Business Management. He moved to Arlington, Virginia where he began his banking career and
attended the Commercial Lending School, University of Virginia Darden School of Business
Administration.
